Fixing FPS Issues Across All Games
It’s generally not advisable to revert to an older driver version because it won't include the security updates found in 431.60 or later. You possess two M.2 slots – is one utilizing the Intel 660p drive? Have you installed its drivers yet? See: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product...60p-Series. Are there any other applications you frequently use during gameplay? When your frame rates fluctuate, do they consistently jitter or do they persistently decline to a point where the game becomes unplayable? Do you have MSI Afterburner installed? What are the CPU, GPU, and RAM usage levels when these dips occur?
Occasionally experiencing brief freezes lasting several seconds. I observed the GPU fluctuating from 0 to 100 and back, but this wasn't linked to frame rates. I adjusted settings within Grand Theft Auto and replaced the display cable, and I didn’t notice any FPS drops in that game; just slightly reduced performance. In Killing Floor 2, I saw the GPU consistently utilizing 100% capacity for that specific title.
I hadn’t installed drivers on the SSD; perhaps that's the issue. After installing the liquid cooler, switching the cable to the monitor, and adjusting some settings (specifically in GTA), I didn't observe any spikes. I also attempted War Thunder, but experienced no performance drops. I believe these games are poorly optimized. And constantly monitoring the task manager, everything appears normal.
