Fixing a non-working kind of AsRock X470 Taichi
Thanks for the help, I managed to get the board working. I hope the seller said it’s okay after trying it out. It should post once I reboot 2 or 3 times. After a few cycles, it turns off and comes back on automatically—no direct reboot needed, just loops forever. It only works when I connect the video card to the first PCIe x16 slot, not the other two. I checked the board and fixed one of the traces (see the photo). Now it posts in any PCIe slot, but it still reboots. Anyone have a tip or a picture of the chipset area that would help? Also, someone mentioned the PSU, RAM, and GPU are all tested on another X470 and are fine. I’ve already flashed the BIOS to version 2.0. Removing the wireless module didn’t affect it at all.
