Fixed: Xbox One controller unrecognized by games – Windows 7 (64-bit)
Hi, I bought a new xbox one controller for use on Windows 7 64-bit - installed - everythings normal, but......not working in games - any game when connected through bluetooth. It does connect and is recognized by device manager. When checking properties in bluetooth - I can see that windows see it, and I can configure it. But as soon as I try to use it in the games - nothing.
I have dual boot with W10 - in 10 it works as should, so I assume - its Windows 7 issue.
Question is - can it be made to work? I have found driver online - used that one (xb1usb.11059.0.140526x64) - no result.
Updated xbox controller firmware through Win10 - no result.
Obviously restart and reinstalled countless times - no result.
FYI - for bluetooth I am using Asus BT400 dongle.
Any help and advice appreciated
Microsoft’s assistance page addresses this topic here: https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/...ct...oth-issues. I possess two controllers connected to my computer, both utilizing Windows 10. My older Windows 7 machine is no longer available. Despite this, both controllers are connected via a cable. If the problem resolves with Windows 10, I believe the issue stems from a driver concern. Perhaps updating the driver for the receiver would be beneficial.
Initially, this was a primary motivation for transitioning to Windows 10. Previously, Windows 7 presented significant difficulties with my Xbox One controller. Windows 10 swiftly identified and functioned optimally with my controller within my games.
