I'm experiencing performance difficulties with GTA V, both in online and offline modes, where my frames per second are significantly reduced for certain sections. I typically achieve frame rates between 35 and 70 on medium settings, which is considerably lower than my performance with other games like Fortnite (ultra settings at 110 fps), Apex Legends (also ultra, around 110 fps), and COD Warzone (80-110 on maximum settings). This issue is consistently present with GTA V alone.
I've ensured my system is up-to-date by installing the latest Windows update and utilizing the most recent NVIDIA drivers. I’ve also attempted NVIDIA's recommended settings, but this has not resolved the problem.
I believe my central processing unit (CPU) may be a bottleneck, as upgrading from a GTX 1050Ti to a 1660Ti resulted in only marginal performance improvements. Considering this, I’m interested in exploring CPU upgrades. Specifically, I’m wondering about Ryzen options such as an R7 2700x or an R5 3600x.
Could you please advise?

GPU: GTX 1660Ti OC
CPU: Ryzen 5 1400
RAM: 16GB 2400Mhz (I can increase this to 2666MHz, but I haven’t done so thus far. Would adjusting the RAM speed to 2666MHz be beneficial?)
