I have a solid computer configuration, however, I experience significant lag in all video games, particularly noticeable frame rate drops even when utilizing the lowest graphical settings.

My system specifications include:
NVIDIA GTX 1060 with 6GB of VRAM by EVGA SC
A 250GB Solid State Drive (SSD)
8GB of DDR4 RAM from Corsair
An Intel i5 8th Generation processor
Windows 10 Pro (64-bit version)
Temperatures are within acceptable ranges, and all drivers have been updated.

I primarily play Overwatch, PUBG, Battlefield 5, and Rainbow Six Siege.

Indeed, there is a noticeable effect. Nevertheless, it would not result in frame rates dropping to zero, potentially indicating several other problems.

Could you please share the temperatures and activity levels during gameplay for both the CPU and GPU?

Specify your Intel processor model.
Indicate your display's resolution.
Report the frames per second you experience.
Share your CPU and GPU temperatures during gameplay.
Detail your CPU and GPU resource consumption when performance drops.

Indeed, it does affect performance. Nevertheless, it won't result in frame rates dropping to zero, so you might encounter several other problems.

Could you please share the temperatures and activity levels during gameplay for both your CPU and GPU?
