I recently purchased a GTX 1060 with 3GB of VRAM, and while playing Fortnite on lower graphics settings, my GPU utilization is roughly 40% resulting in low frame rates. I'd like to increase the GPU load and improve my FPS performance.

My computer specifications:
Gigabyte H110M-H motherboard
Intel i5-6500 processor
Evga GTX 1060 3GB graphics card
Evga 450 BT power supply
Kingston A400 SSD (120GB)
12GB DDR4 RAM (2133MHz)

Based on your description, it appears the difficulty stems from a limitation in your processor’s performance. Initially, I suggest either increasing your CPU's clock speed or acquiring an upgraded model. However, I’ll continue investigating, as this situation feels particularly unusual to me!

A potential problem could stem from a performance limitation. Because you haven’t specified your computer’s memory amount, I suspect this is the cause. Providing your RAM details might help us resolve your inquiry. In the interim, experiment with setting all options to epic quality except shadows and observe your graphics card utilization. Additionally, it would be beneficial if you could share information about your CPU and RAM usage.

There could be a performance restriction present. Because you haven’t specified your computer’s memory (RAM), I suspect this is the cause. Providing your RAM details would help us resolve your problem. While doing so, please set all settings to epic except for shadows and observe your graphics card utilization. It would also be beneficial if you could share information about your CPU and RAM usage.

If CPU usage exceeds 100% or RAM usage reaches 99%, a bottleneck exists and upgrading either resource is the appropriate resolution. Currently, I recommend attempting this solution: Examine your Windows Power Saving Plan settings under Advanced Parameters and PCIe, disabling any power-saving features.

CPU Usage: 75%
RAM Usage: 6GB/8GB

Please also include information regarding CPU usage (percentage) and RAM utilization (gigabytes/gigabytes). If either of these metrics reaches 100% or 99%, the problem is likely due to a bottleneck, and the appropriate resolution would be to upgrade one of those components. Initially, I recommend attempting the following solution: Examine your Windows Power Saving Plan settings within Advanced Parameters and PCI Express, ensuring that power saving features are disabled.

That’s fascinating! Thank you for sharing that detailed explanation. It really highlights how complex these issues can be when viewed from multiple perspectives. The shift in focus from hardware limitations to potential software bottlenecks is a valuable insight. I appreciate you taking the time to articulate your thought process so thoroughly – it's clear you've put a lot of careful consideration into this.
