I’m experiencing problems with GTA Online following a recent hardware upgrade.

In Grand Theft Auto V’s single-player campaign, I maintain a consistent 70-120 frames per second at high settings and a resolution of 1920x1080. However, within GTA Online, using the same configurations, my frame rate fluctuates between 30 and 70 fps, primarily around 50, particularly when in lobbies with 10 to 20 players. The performance drops significantly to 30-45 fps with more than 20 individuals, rendering it unplayable for me. I’ve attempted to reduce settings and the resolution – even with a 800x600 display and minimal configurations, I haven't observed any improvement in frame rates.

My system usage data includes:
Singleplayer: CPU 50-80%, GPU 70-95%
Online: CPU 40-50%, GPU 80-95%

I’ve attempted various troubleshooting steps, including the priority trick, experimenting with different RAM amounts, adjusting power plans, reinstalling drivers and the game, and testing numerous setting combinations. Higher settings consistently yield better results. I also disabled hyperthreading and “unparked” CPU cores. I upgraded from an i5 4590 to an i7 3770K, which resolved this issue with the previous processor.

System specifications:
-i7 3770K running at stock speeds
-Intel DH67GD motherboard
-Nvidia GTX 1050Ti (overclocked, but the problem persists even at stock)
-4x4GB 1600Mhz DDR3 (tested with a single 8GB channel)
-250GB SSD (hosting GTA and Windows)
-1TB HDD for secondary storage – 630w PSU

I require assistance in identifying the root cause of this issue. I'm available to provide further details if needed.

CPU performance should be comparable, and attempting to disable hyperthreading may help.

Expect comparable results from both processors; consider turning off hyper-threading.
