Greetings, I’ve recently updated my computer system, replacing most components except for the graphics card, hard drive, and casing. After this upgrade, I’ve noticed a consistent issue when playing Fortnite – it often feels akin to running at 30 frames per second, even though I’ve set the refresh rate to 144 and it remains consistently stable. However, gameplay occasionally becomes fluid for a period before reverting to an uneven experience. I’ve replicated this problem with other titles, including Overwatch and Apex Legends. If anyone possesses insight or can offer a solution, I would greatly appreciate it. My setup includes two displays: a 144Hz monitor (ASUS 248QE) and a standard 60Hz display (ASUS 278Q). I suspect the graphics card may be struggling to manage both monitors simultaneously, as setting the refresh rate on my main display to 120 results in significantly improved performance. The two monitors are connected via DisplayPort and HDMI to my graphics card. Furthermore, the secondary 60Hz monitor cannot be directly connected to my motherboard due to its lack of an integrated graphics processor.

System specifications:
Processor: Ryzen 7 3700X
Graphics card: GTX 1070 Gigabyte
Motherboard: B450 Aorus Pro
RAM: 16GB (2x8) Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000MHz
Power supply: Corsair RM650
Cooler: Kraken M22
SSD: Crucial MX500
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Operating System: Windows 10

Disable vertical synchronization? Is hardware acceleration turned off in your browser settings? There doesn’t appear to be a straightforward resolution other than disconnecting the secondary monitor or acquiring a new 144Hz display. “When using the same graphics card to send video to both a 144Hz display and a 60Hz monitor, the image buffers become misaligned.” This explains the jerky movements/delay you’re experiencing. Users have reported alternative solutions, but their effectiveness is inconsistent. -https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/atl1gm/regarding_the_whole_144hz60hz_dual_monitor_setup/ -https://forums. -https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/5o32vs/psa_for_people_with_144hz_60hz_dual_monitor_with/

If you're making significant modifications to your computer’s hardware, a fresh installation of the operating system is generally advised. Have you performed this step recently?

I restored my operating system, but it still failed. I attempted to reinstall the motherboard’s drivers and now everything functions correctly.
I am optimistic that this resolved the issue and that it won’t happen again.
Thank you for your assistance.

Processor temperature: approximately 55 to 60 degrees Celsius. Graphics card temperature: around 50 to 55 degrees Celsius. A link to a user benchmark test is provided: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/22373885. After assessment, the computer system appeared to be functioning satisfactorily.

Access your computer's BIOS and activate XMP settings. Your memory is presently operating at 3000MHz, which is lower than its potential speed. Subsequently, attempt to play your games once more to observe the effect.

Sync disabled? Graphics card acceleration turned off? There isn’t a straightforward solution other than disconnecting the secondary monitor or acquiring a new 144Hz display. “Because the same graphics card is simultaneously displaying at full 144Hz on a monitor with a 60Hz refresh rate, the image buffers become misaligned.” This explains why you're experiencing stuttering and lag.
