Fix: Game abruptly closing to the desktop after 15 minutes.
Hello,
I’m experiencing frequent crashes that force me back to my desktop after approximately 15 minutes of gameplay. I’ve investigated the possibility that this might be due to malware and ran a scan with Bitdefender antivirus, but no issues were detected. I also considered that it could be related to my system overclocking, so I’ve reverted to default settings and the problem persists. Could you advise me on how to resolve this?
Thank you,

I’m experiencing the same problem on my powerful computer, and I believe it may be linked to the graphics card or a recent Windows 10 update. Let’s hope someone discovers a solution for you soon.
The Seasonic SSR-1200GD PRIME 1200W, 80 PLUS Gold power supply seems to be the source of the problem. Recently I added a new 4K monitor, and graphically demanding games such as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and FIFA 19 occasionally lose video output, accompanied by brief flashes within the game itself. Less demanding titles like Combat Arms perform more consistently, though they still experience signal loss approximately every ten minutes. The monitor itself is brand new and exhibits no screen defects, including dead pixels, when used outside of gaming. I am utilizing the original DisplayPort 1.4 cable that came with the monitor. My graphics card is an XFX RX580 GTS Black Edition running at 1435MHz with standard configurations. Notably, BFV consistently activates HDR mode automatically, despite HDR being disabled at the Windows level, and displays an HDR image in the upper right corner when running BFV. The screen frequently goes black for a minute and then returns to normal during gameplay, but remains flawless when operating in a desktop environment.

Purchased an Asus 2080 Ti Strix graphics card.
I’ll provide an update after testing it with the new GPU.
If problems continue, I suspect a RAM issue – we’ll investigate further.
I recently set up my 2080 Ti Strix, and now all my displays are functioning correctly—gone are the horizontal lines and display interruptions. However, the BFV program continues to crash my computer after a few minutes, without providing any error message. It might be reacting negatively to RAM or CPU overclocking speeds.
My RAM speeds are now at their standard rate—3400MHz—and Battlefield no longer experiences crashes during extended gameplay. I updated the firmware on my Strix 2080 Ti using Matrix, resulting in a stable system. Ray Tracing is underwhelming; it significantly decreases frame rates and provides minimal visual enhancement at 4K resolution, making it largely unplayable.
