Begin at the power side or the monitor side and test each component as they appear. The usual initial checks are essential: ensure it’s powered on and you’ve switched it off. Inspect all connections, confirm cards are properly seated, and verify everything is correctly positioned. Then consider resetting the CMOS. If that doesn’t help, we can move to the display or power supply unit. Your preference.

The CMOS stores BIOS updates; if it’s empty, changes from someone else may be present. Disconnecting the CMOS pins will reset it back to defaults. Since you haven’t used the BIOS before, it’s likely blank. An older model with an Intel F chip needs a dedicated video card (still unnamed) and lacks an integrated graphics unit, making rear video connections ineffective.

I found the solution! The system functioned correctly after replacing the RAM modules. Uncertain about the reason it had been affecting performance.

It sparks a desire to run memtest86. The device currently in the second slot seems faulty—unexpected. Normally it would remain on the memory tray for bad memory detection. Updated January 7, 2021 by Bombastinator
