First time overclocking. Tips?
Hi guys, I'm starting my first overclocking experience. My setup includes:
ryzen 1600
MSI b350 Tomahawk
Corsair h115i
G. Skill aegis 2400mhz
I tried adjusting in the BIOS but didn't understand how to proceed. I have MSI command center and I'm unsure if overclocking is possible from there. If it is, I want to know how. If not, I need guidance on doing it from the BIOS.
Try Ryzen master and using your cooler, set it to 1.35v. Increase the clocks as much as possible at that voltage. You should reach around 4ghz. Monitor temperatures; with the water cooler it shouldn't exceed 50c.
At the bottom, next to C, I click it and change my CPU settings to whatever I want. I don’t have to go through two steps in the app to adjust the clocks to the correct frequency.
You can store up to five personalized profiles for Ryzen in the Master tool. That's exactly what they are. After configuring it, just click save profile. The initial video demonstrates how to set up Ryzen Master easily. Further adjustments can be made through BIOS overclocking if you wish to take it further.
Alternatively, you might use CPUz to verify your CPU performance. Considering your overclocking, stability testing with prime95 version 26.6 for roughly ten minutes is recommended. Monitor temperatures using speedfan.
