First time assembling this project, the DRAM light came on during startup.
My first build, just cannot get this thing to display. I've tried resetting CMOS, checking my MB's compatability with my RAM, Made sure all the power connectors were firmly in place, and tried checking for faulty ram one by one with nothing useful found, and still showing a light for a DRAM issue. Could I get an assist here? All parts other than my gpu are new and unused. Motherboard: ASRock Z690 Pro RS CPU: i5 13600k GPU: RTX 3070 TI PSU: EVGA 650 GT SUPERNOVA Storage: Samsung 970 EVO Plus Memory: Corsair 4x8gb Vengeance PRO 3200MHz
Would you like it to function on its own? You could let it run for a short time.
Yes, with this configuration I wouldn't anticipate it taking longer than 20-30 seconds. Because the system is halting at the DRAM LED, I'd begin by taking out all the RAM and putting one stick in each slot individually to check for any faulty memory slots/channels or a stuck RAM module. Also, were these two 2x8GB units or does it consist of a single 4x8GB package? If they're two separate 2x8GB sticks, there might be compatibility problems between them.
Every stick is definitely recieving power since the rgb is working fine, and all of them have been tested individually in the A2 channel, also I tested a couple in the B1 channel with no luck either here's an image of my pc's guts
Just because RGB functions doesn't guarantee proper installation. The power connections might be correct, but some data pins could be loose. Even if you've already used these sticks in slot A2, I'd recommend checking the CPU again.
