First startup displayed the orange DRAM indicator.
Hello! I'm setting up a classic Christmas PC build. The machine powers on and shows the DRAM light during startup. After some troubleshooting, I suspect my RAM might not be compatible with the CPU. I currently have a Ryzen 7700 and two 16GB 6400mhz RAM sticks. I've checked online and found that the 7700 supports up to 5200 MHz, but I'm not sure if XMP or EXPO can push it higher. People have shared tips, but I haven't tried anything yet. The CMOS battery was reset and didn't help. Now I have one stick in A2 and am waiting to see if it fixes itself when the system loads with the right profile (see a YT video). Any additional tips would be appreciated. Merry Christmas!
I've also heard about that before. I'll check if it can run at 6000mhz once I access the BIOS. Right now, I'm using a bright orange DRAM indicator, no screen, and no signals from any devices. Thanks for your reply.
Hey, you may need to refresh your bios for optimal performance. How long have you been waiting to boot? A first boot with DDR5 could take some time because of the initial setup.
