They also assumed the person checked this before, but it was still a solid initial review. I had a machine that sat around for a while and wouldn't start until I replaced the RAM, cleaned the contacts, and put it back together. It hadn't been used in a while and had worked when last run. What do you think?

NP, just wanted to confirm you understood. I created a couple of second-generation units with a limit of 1333, so 2400 still seems reasonable. LOL

I updated my BIOS but only 24GB remains free. The first boot slot isn't being detected yet.

The Intel archive confirms dual memory channel support with a total of 128GB. I’m curious if the board or CPU has limitations on RAM per channel, which might not be visible in the first slot. Could you share your board model and manufacturer?

The RAM compatibility details for this board are listed here. Review the SKUs to ensure a match with your inventory. This tends to apply more frequently with Ryzens, though missing items don't always mean they won't work. Occasionally, variations in quantity can still allow compatibility, but verification is recommended. Also, it seems you've already inspected the DIMMs for any physical damage.
