First PC
First PC
I want to build my first PC & I need your help! I want to share with you the parts I'm getting, they seem compatible, although finding the right power brick, RAM & motherboard seems tricky. Here are the parts: ASRock x570 Taichi AM4 AMD https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813157883 Thermal Paste https://www.newegg.com/deepcool-z5/p/N82E16835856010 AMD RYZEN 7 3700X https://www.newegg.com/amd-ryzen-7-3700x...iption=AMD RYZEN 7 3700X&cm_re=AMD_RYZEN_7_3700X-_-19-113-567-_-Product&quicklink=true RTX 2070 SUPER https://www.newegg.com/msi-geforce-rtx-2...2070+super Power Supply https://www.newegg.com/thermaltake-smart...6817153313 I'm looking for a case but i think that's the easiest part. I'm missing the RAM because i don't know how to choose. Also i went with the RTX 2070 SUPER, which i think is a sweet spot for gaming & productivity. Is there anything i need to know about motherboards, cables, RGB, power supplies, thermal paste? Edited March 13, 2020 by Utuui Updated Links
Taichi comes with a higher price tag, but you can cut costs by choosing the ASUS X570 TUF board. The power supply is on the lower side, so consider a TXM or RXM from Corsair (550W should suffice) or opt for a Bequiet Straight Power, BitFenix Formula, or Whisper. For memory, a 2x8GB kit with 3600C16 RAM works well, or go for 2x16GB if you're planning 4K video editing—the built-in cooler already has thermal paste applied. Just add thermal paste only when upgrading to a new cooler.
