Hello, I'm looking for advice on my Lenovo 100 laptop. It has built-in RAM, but when idle it's using a lot of memory—around 50-69%. I'm worried about performance. Should I upgrade to an older Windows version or keep using Windows 10? I don't want to switch to Ubuntu because it's not user-friendly and requires a lot of time to set up. Need help figuring this out!

What amount of memory do you currently have? Have you attempted to close or uninstall unused applications to increase available RAM? You don't necessarily need to lower Windows versions just to manage memory usage.

i have 2gb onboard so its not upgradeable, I've Done all the tweaks known to man, superfetch and ndu on regedit even, disabled all startups and all that still takes 50-70% restored them back to defaults because it wasnt doing anything but yeah. i just thought theres an os that doesnt eatup as much ram or handles memory lightly in older windows or something.

It uses less storage than you assume. That 70% doesn’t always mean active memory. A portion of that could be released if another program requires it more.
