First gaming pc
First gaming pc
Sooo right now I have an old pc that can barely run CS: GO on low settings. I was planning on putting together my first gaming pc. I chose to buy parts from Amazon because I have prime and it would be faster. I have a budget of around 1100$ CAD. So I put together this thing.
I would like to hear some feedback about my choices and please feel free to tell me if anything is wrong.
Here is the list of parts:

“This discussion centers around the importance of RAM – specifically, 6GB – for modern gaming. Insufficient RAM, like having only 3GB, severely limits performance by preventing users from utilizing higher texture settings in many games. Investing in more RAM is crucial for a smoother gaming experience rather than focusing on less impactful features like RGB lighting.”

“This discussion centers around RAM – specifically, its importance for gaming performance. While flashy RGB lighting might seem appealing, it offers no benefit to processing power. Insufficient RAM, such as 3GB, severely limits a user's ability to utilize high-resolution textures in modern games, ultimately impacting the overall gaming experience. The 6GB version of the 1060 is crucial for optimal performance and avoiding limitations on texture settings.”

“Let’s talk about cooling solutions for your PC build. You’re looking at the Cooler Master Hyper 212 RR, which is a decent 2-fan cooler. However, considering you're starting out and asking for advice, it's important to prioritize performance over aesthetics and unnecessary upgrades like swapping out the GPU prematurely.
You mentioned wanting RGB fans, but with only three other fan vents in your case, focusing solely on an RGB cooler might not be the most efficient use of your budget. While it’s fine to spend your money as you see fit, remember that for a first-time build, prioritizing gaming performance is key.
I noticed you're comparing this $47 cooler to a $40 212 EVO – are there any discounts available? Also, considering the RGB features and relatively low price point of the Hyper 212 RR, I’m wondering about its long-term reliability and effectiveness. You could consider a six pack with RGB fans instead.”
