Hello, this is my first PC and I want to make sure everything is functioning properly.
I mainly use it for gaming, but also occasionally for video editing and coding.
I have a 1080p monitor.
I’ve already purchased the case, CPU, and GPU, but the rest of the components are still interchangeable.
What advice would you give me? And does this setup look good overall?
I’m also curious about selecting an airflow solution for my PC.
Components:
CPU: Ryzen AMD 5 7600X
GPU: AMD Radeon 6700X
PC case: NZXT Flow 7
CPU cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
Motherboard: MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (DDR5-6000)
SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 2 GB
PSU: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold certified fully modular ATX power supply

I probably wouldn't pay the premium for a 990 Pro.
Right now looks like the next best deal is the WD SN850X and if you don't mind a lesser known brand, the Teamgroup MP44.
Unless you got lucky generally the 6750XT is cheaper than the 6700XT. And there is an argument to be made for the 7600 XT in that price range.
Everything else looks good.

Everything functions smoothly. I'm wondering about your location and budget.

Hello, this is my first computer and I want to make sure everything is set up correctly.
My budget is about 1200 dollars.
The main purpose will be gaming, but I’ll also use it for video editing and coding sometimes.
I have a 1080p display.
I’ve already purchased the case, CPU, and GPU, but the remaining components are still to be chosen.
Are you happy with this setup? And what steps should I take to ensure everything functions properly?
Processor: Ryzen AMD 5 7600X
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon 6700X
Case: NZXT Flow 7
Coolers: Arctic P12 PWM PST 120 mm
CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
Motherboard: MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (DDR5-6000)
Storage: Western Digital Black SN850X NVMe SSD M.2 2TB
Power Supply: Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ gold certified fully modular ATX
I’m ready to proceed and confirm everything works well.

The only adjustment needed is the RAM, maintaining the same speed and latency. I favor Gskill because of their superior quality control and binning process.
Link: https://www.gskill.com/configurator
Another recommendation is applying am5 thermal paste guard to ensure even spreading without unintended placement.

But you believe the corsair is acceptable, since I can acquire the ram for just 60 dollars.

I only purchase RAM occasionally, but it makes a big difference. There are more problems with Corsair than with Gskill here. I used Corsair back in 2012 with an i7 920 system that had triple channel, three 4GB DDR3 modules—two failed within a few years. Not great luck? Replaced them with Gskill and everything is still working up to the time of retirement a couple of years ago. Since then, all my systems have been using Gskill.

You could review this discussion. For a cost-effective setup, consider Intel options. To save money, opt for an affordable z690 board with DDR4 RAM and an i5 12600kf. Upgrade the GPU to something more capable. Newegg offers the rx 6800 for 359, which is excessive for 1080p now, but you could even begin upgrading to 1440p later if needed. With a similar Intel system, you’d still be able to upgrade to a faster 14th generation CPU.
