I got a raspberry pi pico. I try to do the steps like it shows on youtube (press button, plug into PC, drive file shows up) for me, i do that and no drive file, no led on board. board is giving power (i checked with multiumeter like online said as well, 4.8 volts. i got 4.95 volts? different? idk) so. do i need to install any programs or something first?
When you press the button, the Pico appears as a USB Mass Storage Device. The operating system includes the drivers, and the Pico's USB drivers are stored in ROM, indicating potential issues if it doesn't display correctly. If flash drives function on the computer, everything seems to work properly. Usually, the problem lies with a faulty USB cable.
