Today I set up Aurora and the first thing I saw was the phone button. After a bit of searching, I learned Mozilla is planning a quick chat feature in upcoming updates. It’s super easy: just click the button and a unique link appears each time. The other person has to open that link and you’re connected instantly without any extra tools or sign-ups. Not only does it support chat, but also video and voice calls like Skype. Would you try it instead of the forums pm, which feels slow and hard to use? The project site is http://www.webrtc.org/, though I’m not sure when it will become stable. So far it’s running in Firefox 33 for testing.

Skype isn't great for me. I prefer not to use it, though my friends are stuck with other options.

Teamspeak is completely distinct from other services, and Skype faces numerous issues.

The issue with Skype isn't clear—your setup seems to function well for you and your friends, with smooth video calls and acceptable text chat.
