I kept reading the instructions, yet MSE and WebM VP9 weren't displaying their supported formats despite following the steps. LATER I fixed it—Edited October 3, 2015 by Darkman
Adjust the settings in about:config by double-clicking media.mediasource.webm.enabled and set it to true. This will ensure the feature is activated.
Feeling annoyed with YouTube lately and trying to get things sorted out. The 2GHz quad with or without HT FF v42.0 hardware acceleration isn't great—just another version of the same issues.
