I've been searching online but finding nothing useful. Whenever I launch a new YouTube video or return to a paused one, Firefox will freeze or the player will stall for a few seconds. I disabled hardware acceleration, cleared the cache, set a backup timer every hour, and removed the sessionstore.js file.

Protect yourself and switch to Chrome right away... Firefox isn’t a great choice, that’s for sure.

I attempted to change settings about two months ago, but Chrome causes major issues. Scrolling isn't smooth, bookmarks can't be centered, and I've lost track of several things.

Performance-wise, Chrome isn't significantly better—just a matter of personal preference. Switching browsers for testing can still be a good approach.

It seems like you're questioning whether the problem is more significant than initially thought. Drivers?

I've never really enjoyed Firefox no matter how much I tried. The flash player keeps issues, and it always freezes. SSDs didn’t make a difference either.

It was once a top-notch browser. Now it matches Chrome in terms of its flaws.

Long ago, in a distant realm, Chrome was an excellent browser too. It still outperformed Edge.

It just happened. Flash faced a scaling issue previously, causing everything to overflow in full screen. Now HTML5 works better, but the stuttering and occasional freezes remain. I’d prefer the newest IE versions over Firefox.
