Ah, that piece is from 2012, huh? I’m running IE 11 with Avast, Malwarebytes Pro, and Defender active. So far, everything seems fine—no security concerns detected. People seem to exaggerate the problems when they haven’t even tried the software.
I think everyone has their own taste. I don’t rely on heavy plugins, which is why I avoid that resource-intensive Chrome that often freezes when I open many tabs. Also, dealing with security threats like viruses and malware online is a real hassle—being cautious and using basic sense always works best.
I've been using Chrome for about three years now and haven't faced any issues until recently. However, I'm switching to Firefox because it's new and I prefer it. I'll keep Chrome as my main browser while trying out Firefox.
I dislike Chrome because it consumes a lot of RAM, loads slowly at first, and there are other issues too. For instance, with six tabs open, Chrome uses around 902MB of RAM. Firefox uses about 480MB. What am I trying to say?
