I've faced the same issue with the same CPU as yours. I've been using IE as my main browser for nearly two years now. Great relief. I never dropped Chrome, and it's always been there when needed. Firefox is my backup option in case some sites don't display properly in IE.

Have you removed the cache and temporary files? It’s recommended to use ccleaner to eliminate the accumulated temporary files on your PC...
