My grandpa loves old games like Might & Magic IV, but his Parkinson's disease makes playing some hard now. He is eighty-seven years old and wants to play happily in the last years of his life. Is there a simple game that doesn't need a strong computer? Steam has it available, but only if he can use it well enough. His laptop has 12 gigabytes of memory, an Intel processor from the eleventh generation, and integrated graphics. It's really old-fashioned stuff lol

It's the first one I ever thought of. It has low requirements, you can find it on Steam, and since the original game is free to play, it's super easy to get started with.

I'd check out some strategy video games or other ones where things happen one step at a time. It's cool because giving yourself more time to think before acting might let you beat someone who can't wait and move quickly.

Check out Lords of the Realm 2. I remember thinking about it because of the game called Lords of Magic. I never played that before. In this game, you are a noble in England and when the king dies, you and three other nobles fight a war against each other. Lords of the Realm II on Steam The big lords of England want to take over the throne! Gather troops and blow up enemy castles. This fun strategy game uses turns and real-time action. store.steampowered.com The old Rome Total War runs okay. That was a lot when I was young.

I'd make my friend test Wizards & Warlords to see if he can run it with his old computer. He's already had fun playing it himself.

The Civilization series is quite good, particularly 5 IMO. Stray is pretty good, but with the Parkinsons can he use a 'controller' well? I would mention the Sniper Elite series as they are fun and fairly easy if you want them to be (settings), but once again his tremor could get in the way. The older Warhammer games such as 'Dawn of War' are quite fun. The early Warcraft titles are still fun as well. There is another one that is space oriented, Starcraft IIRC that is along these same lines. Look down from the top type thing. Ashes of the Singularity is also pretty fun. The question on some of these would be whether the laptop can both run them, and what system temps are going to do in a long session.
