Guys, your CPU is running at higher speeds than the base clock, which can happen due to various factors. It might be caused by overheating, software glitches, or driver issues. To fix it without voiding your warranty, try cooling down the system, updating drivers, or checking for malware. If the problem persists, contact support for further help.

It doesn't seem so. A 1.97 GHz clock speed is above the standard 1.8 GHz base frequency. Also, Task Manager isn't a trustworthy way to monitor CPU speed; use CPU-Z or HWiNFO instead. Don't forget to verify your temperatures as mentioned earlier.

In Task Manager, the CPU base clock is listed as 1.8. Fun fact: if the processor isn’t hitting that base speed, the app will show less than 100% utilization even though it’s fully loaded—like a 3.0GHz base but only 2.7GHz running, which would display around 90% usage.

It shows two base clocks at 1.8 GHz and 1.9 GHz. Determine which matches your requirements.

The base frequency is 1.8GHz, and any higher speed uses a boost clock.
