Hey guys! Just wanting to compare and get any tips on my setup.. So I grabbed a 3800XT off a seller on OfferUp, that's never been used, for less than a 3700X new. Hoping to replace it with a 5900X I'm pairing it with a B550 Gaming Carbon for now until my X570 comes in (B550 is going to fathers build). Just wanted to know if my r20 scores seem normal.. SC is 529 and MC is 4960. My 10700K at 5.1GHz did around 5100 MC (never did single core).. I also got an average voltage of 1.350v during Prime95 after 10 min. I have PBO enabled and a few other settings adjusted but I'm not really familiar with AMD.. This site has better single core.. https://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/in...iew,8.html . I'll definitely be overclocking my memory.. My full specs are: 3800XT B550 Gaming Carbon WiFi 4X8GB Trident Z RGB 3200c14 B Die 2080 Ti Hydro Copper RM850x Custom Loop

Using PBO brings you near the highest possible performance. A small negative voltage offset can help lower temperatures and boost clocks marginally, though the built-in loop likely compensates significantly.

Activated XMP but need to push overclocking further and boost Infinity Fabric. Finished assembling everything last night—I’ll experiment today. Want to know if tweaking each core individually is worthwhile? PBO with tailored settings can reach around 4.55GHz.

No special configurations were noted in the manual. You adjusted scalar to 10x, set limits to motherboard and +500MHz for maximum boost, and configured LLC to 4. The loop maintained a cool temperature around 60°C during testing. Auto PBO settings weren’t evaluated. For voltage offset, starting with a specific value isn’t required unless recommended.

Your 3700X really improved after the full core swap, though I’m not sure what’s affecting your chip.

In Ryzen Master you can increase the EDC and PPT thresholds, which may provide additional performance gains. This depends on how close you are to those limits during stress, but it’s something you can adjust.

It didn't change the single-core results when using 4.5GHz all-core settings; the performance remained consistent whether you enabled PBO or not. I plan to test Ryzen Master more today to observe further effects. Thanks!

It seems the adjustment reduced performance by six points. Since your chip quality is average for silicon, your XT chip likely won’t notice much change in practice.
