I notice your GPU is getting very hot, especially with high frame rates. In RDR2 you saw that turning on VSync can cap performance, but it didn’t help in Star Wars. The temperatures are pushing fans and temps above safe levels. You mentioned using Adrenaline with the FPS limit option, but it didn’t work either. To reduce FPS without affecting gameplay, try checking your GPU’s thermal limits and consider lowering settings in the game or using a cooler. If you can, search for "GPU temperature limits" or "fps cap settings" in the game’s menu.

Certain games offer a setting to control frame rates, which is highly effective. Tools like MSI Afterburner and Rivatuner can manage overall frame rate limits. AMD also provides this feature within its driver software; however, if the global setting is enabled and you have a profile without restrictions, the game won’t be limited unless you adjust the profile or remove it.

Best method found. Certain games don't accurately cap FPS for me—I set it to 60 but it reads 67. I'm using Riva Statistic Tuner and it works properly.

I tried different approaches but avoided using extra tools like Riva.

Would you like me to reinstall the graphics drivers?

It functioned properly once I removed the game profile. Thanks to everyone.

Radeon Chill offers another solid option compared to AMD FRTC. It allows you to define specific minimum and maximum frame rates, letting the GPU adapt its tasks accordingly for a smoother, more responsive feel. I’d prefer Radeon Chill over AMD FRTC unless you need to fix your frame rate to match a particular monitor spec. An AMD developer mentioned it in the video comments: “You can enable it in your AMD Adrenalin software from GAMES > GRAPHICS (or GAMEs and choose a specific game to apply it) > RADEON CHILL.”

This problem hasn't happened before on NVIDIA. The closest was when a game didn't support VSync, so I set it in NVCPM and achieved smooth 60fps sailing afterward.

I'm using Intel, but it's uncommon. It was similar when FNF was trending. FnF ran on the Psych Engine.
