I attempted to adjust the V-Sync setting in the game's document folder, but it didn't work. While the game allows inputting 1920x1080 at 165hz, the change isn't applied. Could there be another solution?

It's not what you expect; the physics are linked to the FPS.

Many people overlook how tightly the physics engine in older games is connected to first-person shooters. Changing it could cause massive issues, like physics systems crashing or becoming unstable. This would lead to extreme behavior in weapons and characters, making them behave unpredictably.

Many current games focus on Physics-driven FPS experiences. Elden Ring limits itself to 60 frames per second, while Embryo (now Creation) has never included its own physics timing even in Fallout 76. It’s unlikely Elder Scrolls 6 or Starfield will support 120fps unless Microsoft fixes it to avoid embarrassment.
