It's still in testing. I believe switching the region would cause fewer issues, so that's my preference.
a tool marked beta since the developers avoid making promises <= > so you can't just try to replicate the same thing yourself. regional settings are purely visual, plus... they're account-based, meaning your login screen could be in Japanese and your desktop in Spanish if you wish.
