He mentioned his FPS in Fortnite is dropping compared to usual. I suggested checking for viruses and found none. Checked CPU, GPU, and RAM usage—everything looked normal. Told him to format the PC. After that, he only played Fortnite again and got the same performance. Now he’s around 70 FPS, which is much lower than his previous 100+ FPS. I’m confused about what’s causing this issue.

If he's okay with it, we can reduce the texture details to medium or high and also lower the effects. I usually set medium textures and it works well.

This subject relies on the idea that he accurately calculated the figures and isn't fabricating details. It seems a weak foundation for launching a discussion.

It's unclear why the frame rate drops abruptly. I've experienced this before, but the usual solution is resetting the graphics settings to their defaults and then restoring them to their original state.

I'm the friend of David in the Dawgs, and honestly I set everything to its maximum. The sound is the same whether I'm at the highest or lowest levels. I'm not exaggerating—I can log it if you want.

No, I didn't use DDU for uninstalling or reinstalling graphics drivers.

Thanks for the assistance, Koolerone! I figured out the issue—it was the GPU placement being a bit off. After fixing it and connecting my PC, I really appreciated it since I was concerned about the cost of my computer. XD
