Hello, I’ve faced a similar issue a few years back. My laptop’s internal video stopped working after a short circuit, and the external monitor didn’t display anything. I cleaned up the graphics drivers during a restart but couldn’t finish the update. Later, after reinstalling, I encountered a black screen and failed to complete the process. The internal display was gone, and I couldn’t access the update page. I tried using a driver file from a pen drive but faced login issues. Windows seemed to be rebooting in recovery mode. I’m considering a different SSD or swapping it, but I’m unsure if that will help. I’m also thinking about downloading the driver myself and using Narrator to install it. This might not work since I don’t have someone with a similar setup. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can you simply detach the malfunctioning screen? That way, only the external monitor would be connected.

It's been a while and I'm still unsure. I think the internal screen disconnected when it first broke, even though I sent it to a repair shop but didn't pay the bill. When I first checked the display settings in Windows, it only showed the external monitor.
