Hello everyone, I'm just starting out with laptop RAM and want to upgrade completely to the same type I already have. Upgrading from 4GB to 8GB seems like the best choice. I've attached a picture of my current setup: Samsung 3200 MHz RAM. Unfortunately, the QR code on the sticker didn't work with my camera or app, so I'm looking for some advice now.

For a single slot, exchanging this RAM isn't necessary if you're replacing it with a larger capacity. A 3200 MHz DDR4 SODIMM works fine.

Match your pace to what feels comfortable. Any other brand works too. Don’t get too caught up.

She needs to take a closer look at it. It's just thinking about problems with laptops, but it seems similar to desktop RAM.

Essentially, yes—similar to what others mentioned, because you’re not aiming to boost RAM further. A standard budget should cover it if you’re considering selling the old unit.

I was looking forward to selling my old stick or donating it to avoid waste. Unfortunately, I can't upgrade my laptop to 12GB because the remaining 4GB is soldered. Unless they release a 12GB model, I won’t be able to reach 16GB.
