When using *AHEM* videos from one side, speed is more important than latency. Typically, a ping below 50ms works well for regular browsing and watching content. Latency tends to be more noticeable during fast-paced activities like competitive games or shooters.

Your ping is being tested to a relatively local server typically. But the "pipe" going into and out of Italy right now is completely full. So trying to do things that rely on connecting to servers outside of the country is being hindered. This is a really low level explanation, but that is effectively what is happening. All of the games being downloaded, all of the streaming being watched/streamed, its just hitting the ISP's really hard. If your pring was actually 14, and your speed is "high enough", these issues wouldn't be happening. I assume if you tried to ping Twitch or a game servers IP, you would not see 14 ping. I am not sure how you would test that as I don't know what IP's twitch uses, but I have a feeling that is the issue unfortunately. If everything was fine before Coronavirus, and now things are not fine, that is the issue, not the router/wifi unfortunately. If this has always been an issue, then yes, its possible a wire would help.

I don't engage in those activities—it's harmful and causes blindness. I just watch and play.

For gaming, I didn’t have a great Wi-Fi experience. A wired connection is usually better for performance. You can find suitable cables at Best Buy—see the links provided.

Ensure the cable is made of pure copper, not CCA (copper-clad aluminum).

The cable was delivered today. I usually get 30 pings in Battlefield V, but now it feels smoother. Uploading videos seems quicker, and my Bluetooth earphones are working better—likely because of the new setup.
