It's factory overclocked to 5GHz with all cores, but I'm not sure if it's the ideal choice for Minecraft anymore. Haven't played in a while, so I'm uncertain if this is the best chassis for the game.

It's the only confirmed CPU at that frequency, which you requested. If not, it might be wiser to look for a strong CPU suited for your needs instead of tying specific numbers like 5Ghz. A Ryzen 5 3600 or i5 9600K would provide solid single-core performance for most tasks. Just not a guaranteed 5Ghz.

You wanted a method to boost your processor speed to around 5 GHz.

9600K/KF, possibly K series i3s—uncertain if they’ll deliver consistent 5 reliably.

Consider the Ryzen 5 3600x doesn't reach 5GHz, yet speed isn't the sole factor when evaluating a CPU.

You can get a 60ghz processor even if its IPC is low, but it won’t be fast. A budget 5ghz single-core chip doesn’t actually exist—its IPC is much lower, like the FX 9590 which has poor IPC compared to a slower chip that runs faster.
