Recently a friend and I began playing GTA 5 on PC. Now another friend wants to join us, as we used to play on PS4 previously. Last year Epic Games offered GTA 5 for free, but he didn’t get it. The only way to play together with three people is on PC (PS4 only two can join). My friend is considering buying a gaming laptop because he doesn’t want to build or set up a gaming PC and desk. I believe it’s not worth spending on a gaming laptop just for playing GTA 5 alone. Are there any game cloud streaming options available? I searched, but it isn’t listed on Nvidia GeForce Now, Google Stadia or similar services. Here are some ideas for your friend to enjoy GTA on PC easily and affordably.

I found a GTA V copy at Target for $14. It came on a disc, but it was still affordable. USB optical drives aren't that costly either.

The game is affordable on disc or digital, yet the main issue is that my friend doesn’t have a PC or laptop. One possibility is to watch the game on his TV using a streaming service if it’s feasible.

Steam is frequently discounted. However, no matter the source, always add currency if it isn't RP/levels, character abilities, or unlock items. Doing this makes grinding less enjoyable.

opt for a gaming laptop equipped with a GTX 1650 for smooth 1080p GTA V playthroughs. Alternatively, consider assembling a PC if resources allow—this offers more versatility beyond gaming. For occasional streaming-based play, you could purchase a PC or laptop that supports cloud services, enabling you to enjoy games and other tasks like video or photo editing. If budget permits, a used PS4 paired with GTA V works well, though I lean toward recommending a PC or laptop for broader use.

Prior to installing a graphics card, I played GTA V on an Intel i5 7400 integrated graphics. Running it at medium and low settings gave me roughly 30 to 40 frames per second. If someone insists on keeping costs low, you can definitely run it using integrated graphics. However, don’t anticipate a high-quality visual experience. A budget Dell or HP prebuilt desktop might be a better option right now. Simply connect it to your TV as a monitor, or use it in a laptop as well. We’re focusing on the absolute essentials here. If you opt for a desktop, it also opens up future upgrade possibilities.
