No one has successfully used Intel's 10th and 11th generation chips on older motherboards. The unique notch placement on the socket hasn't prevented anyone from trying, like using an 10900K on a Z170 board.

Various connector layouts would damage the processor.

The situation involves adjusting between 771 to 775, likely hiding a few pins and shorting another pin, similar to what happened with 1200 vs 1151. The changes around 1151v1 and 1151v2 introduced some BIOS tweaks, though not extremely common. A 1200 would probably need a full remap. With spare 1151v2 boards, I suspect some Taobao sellers are creating odd adapters. I own a couple of laptops with LGA1150 connectors, which were originally bought from an LMG clearance sale and are becoming scarce. They’re starting to run out of random Haswell CPUs, which is the main challenge here.
