Anyone please verify if the 3.5mm headphone jack can accept microphones. I own an earbud with a built-in mic on my 7530, but it won’t be detected by the 7740 Realtek sound card or Windows at all. I’ve changed drivers, uninstalled some, and restarted multiple times without success.

I also struggle to find instructions for turning on the keyboard backlight. It was a setting in the 7530’s BIOS. According to Google, it might be Fn+F5, but I haven’t confirmed yet.

*Note: I didn’t realize Dell offered models without backlit keyboards. How affordable could that be?*
I recently replaced my keyboard from the old 7530. Everything worked fine except for the microphone issue. The BIOS recognized it, which was helpful. It seems fixing the mic problem also required installing MaxxAudioPro alongside the Realtek driver.
