this i5 looks alike to the ryzen 5 5600x but offers improved upgrade potential. right now, i'm considering a 7 7700 comboed with b650-p msi pro. would you think it's wiser to opt for the more affordable cpu with better motherboard rather than choosing a higher-end cpu with a limited budget motherboard?
It depends on your preferences. If you're comfortable with 120+ fps or higher, you can choose AM5. For 140+ fps, opt for a model with free sync and 120+ fps capabilities. I don't think the 14700 will become outdated by 2026...
