Find support for TexMod issues on Windows 10 x64.
I use a tool called TexMod to adjust XCom settings, mainly for clearer visuals like larger text and symbols. This helps me avoid straining my eyes while navigating the screen, which is important since I have visual impairments. I’ve tried it before—when XCom was newer and Windows 10 was 1511—I had no issues on a Windows 10 64-bit version. Now I’m having trouble getting it to function properly. I’ve tested it in compatibility modes for Windows 7, XP SP2, and XP SP1 as an admin, but nothing worked. My old i3 laptop still runs the same older Windows 10 version, and TexMod seems to work there fine. My current specs are: i7-8700 GTX, 1080 Ti, 32GB RAM, Z370 motherboard, 250GB SSD, 500GB SSD, 2TB Toshiba HDD (7200 RPM). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The game feels different without this modification.
Turn off full-screen enhancements for both the game and the mod. Click right-click on each icon, navigate to compatibility settings and disable full-screen mode. Additionally, consider going into Settings, then Gaming, and disabling all Xbox/GameDVR options.
