i have a 7900 xtx and a 5800x3d with rebar turned on in bios, running on the latest system for the board. aside from afterburner, nothing else runs in the background on windows except for it. when my fps drops, the card’s clock speed also decreases as shown in afterburner—going from around 2800mhz to 1900-2000mhz—and the gpu temperatures stay normal. this happens randomly, especially on maps like nuketown. i’ve set a frame rate cap at 150 to give the cpu more breathing room, but it still works. any advice on what’s causing this? it only affects cod, and fps drops to 200-220 then jumps to 70-100 and spikes back after a short delay. it seems intermittent. the problem has occurred before and after the s2 patch. i’ve tried using a different windows build on a secondary ssd drive, along with reinstalling drivers, but the issue remains. the game is the steam version. anyone else facing this or have a solution?

I figured it out—cod doesn’t seem to like rebar at all. Only the game I’ve ever played has shown rebar doing such odd things, man!
