i assume your sticks are both 2999mhz, but your motherboard caps it at 2400mhz well i'm not an expert in laptops, but if you have 4gb SOLDERED on the board then i say try to find a 16gb stick that matches the same speed as your 4gb one. There is no guarantee it's going to work.
