Hello, I encountered a problem with my PC where the GeForce app couldn't update my RTX 3080 Ti drivers for several months. After checking, I discovered that Windows had trouble extracting the downloaded .exe file from Nvidia, and after some key files were missing, only partial extraction occurred. I tried using 7-Zip (WinRAR didn't work) and forced the installation on Windows, which provided a workaround. I'm still unsure why Windows isn't extracting the files properly. Could you offer some guidance on resolving this issue? Thank you for your assistance.

Get the drivers straight from Nvidia's official site.

I understand. Nvidia releases their drivers as standalone executable files, not compressed archives. Windows supports zip files natively since the early 2000s. You can verify compatibility by trying other zip files or using tools like winRAR or 7zip to create them. If Windows fails to open them, it likely indicates corrupt system files—reinstalling Windows may be necessary. Good luck!

Consider using an antivirus to remove the files right away, or check if some malware is already present on the system.
