I own a device named "Sony Xperia Z3+ Dual [E6533]". Because official support is limited, I’m restricted to using only Lineage OS 14.1. A forum suggested that porting ROMs to similar devices is feasible, but there’s no clear process for updating Device Tree and building ROMs from the updated tree. My phone shares the same chipset as a Nexus 6P and OnePlus 2, so it’s possible someone could adapt "Lineage OS 16" for it. This could help bring more visibility to Android on these platforms [Android_Pie]. Device Tree: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_dev...neage-15.0 Kernel: https://github.com/LineageOS/android_ker...ny_msm8994

Follow the official instructions to create your own build for that device.

I understand your goal. This update applies to the existing lineage OS 14.1. By changing the device tree from Nougat to Pie, you'll be able to compile for Linux version 16 instead of 14.1. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you:

We should figure out alternative ways to test without the specific device.

I'll create it and then share the logcat output for debugging.
