It seems you're wondering if switching between PC Ethernet, MOCA, and a router via an adapter will work for gigabit speeds.

Regardless of the age of your cable, it should still provide decent performance even if it's quite old.

It's not about how old the cable is, but about its quality. RG6 offers better shielding which reduces signal loss over distance. The main worry is that the outer parts of the cable could degrade over time. Most cables used outside are designed to resist UV exposure. The important thing is that they're resistant, not completely immune to sunlight. If the cable gets direct sunlight, it might damage the coating and lead to problems. You can check the cable yourself if you wish. Ultimately, without testing or purchasing from a reliable source, you won't be sure. Just choose something with a solid return policy.
