Hey! Here are some great options that work well with high/ultra settings and deliver solid FPS at 144 Hz or 1440p:

- **FPS:**
- *Valorant* – fast-paced, competitive, smooth performance.
- *Apex Legends* – action-packed with good frame rates.
- *Overwatch 2* – solid multiplayer with decent GPU usage.

- **RPG:**
- *Divinity: Original Sin II* – deep gameplay and responsive controls.
- *Final Fantasy XIV* – rich world with smooth scaling.
- *Elden Ring* (PC) – optimized for high settings.

- **Adventure Games:**
- *The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt* – immersive with solid performance.
- *Disco Elysium* – detailed narrative and manageable load times.
- *Hades* – fast-paced roguelike with great graphics.

Make sure to check each game’s settings for optimal CPU/GPU usage on your monitor specs. Enjoy your gaming!

Original Mass Effect series. Not a first-person shooter, but a tabletop RPG.

Pre-2021 releases really stood out in adventure titles. Most new ones since then have followed suit. Give a shot to RE7 and RE8!

Borderlands 1, 2 and the Pre-Sequel plus all their DLCs are not what you want to play afterward. I suggest BL3 as well, though its story isn’t great (most players skip story-driven games) and it needs more powerful hardware.

Thank you. I understand you don’t want the cartoonish style.

I enjoy games that focus on action and combat, often with a "go and take everything" style. My recent experience is playing Black Mesa for the third time. I usually play titles like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Serious Sam, Painkiller, Bioshock series, Half-Life series, Doom serial, Rage 1/2, Dying Light, as well as adventure and puzzle games such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Dead Space, Alan Wake 1/2. I’m currently playing Bioshock 2 Remastered and really like its immersive world, finding it entertaining much like Dishonored. I’m also seeing impressive performance with over 200 FPS.
