It was a tight selection process, which made it even more impressive that you made it through. What led you to pursue certification?

Several issues arose with my dad's clients in his construction business, leading to debt. We're seeking a stable position beyond basic IT support roles. My computer engineering background made networking feel manageable, so I'm considering pursuing my degree while working. My objectives include CCNA Cyber Ops and R&S, aiming for CCNP R&S and CCNA Security later. Personally, I'd prioritize CCNA R&S over Comptia Network+ if I could invest in relevant training to strengthen my resume.

Hey, it's tough to hear that. I'm facing the same choice—either jump into certifications to land a job quickly or invest in a degree that might not cover the right skills.

Sure, I've picked up more practical skills on Pluralsight and Udemy than in school. I earned my Comptia A+, but I'm aiming for CCNA to skip the basic roles.

Is that correct? Thank you for bringing this up. I’ve shared the same situation in my recent posts, receiving varied reactions. A degree is now more of a must than just a nice-to-have, especially in IT. You can likely earn your certification faster and for less money than the cost of the degree itself, and land a job while gaining practical experience. While it’s not ideal, it’s not a smart choice for those struggling financially.

The Comptia Network+ offers a more accessible entry point for general IT professionals. CCNA represents a higher starting point for someone aiming to become a Network Engineer. I possess the Network+ certification but initially pursued it as part of my preparation. I appreciate Comptia credentials since they provide a solid foundation for many of their programs. Additionally, I hold Server+, A+, Security+, and CTT+ certifications. Certifications are engaging and beneficial for absorbing new knowledge while staying sharp in the industry. They helped me stay focused on the material.

I agree, I’m still thinking about getting network+, security+, and CCNA R&S. The difference in job opportunities between these paths influenced my decision. Great job earning all those certifications—it’s definitely a challenging but rewarding path!

I contributed 50% through education, which gave us access to tests and study materials at no cost. The main effort came from time investment. My focus areas included network directory services and Compaq servers, along with combining NDS and Active Directory with server hardware.

I highly recommend the Udemy course you mentioned before. For preparing the test, consider searching for "braindumps" since the exam sometimes expects unusual responses. (CCNA, CCNA Voice, CCNP R&S). In my view, every IT professional should possess a CCNA certification. (Networking videos with Linus are quite entertaining)
