Linux doesn't rely on drivers like Windows does; it uses control files and dependencies instead. Many smooth operations in Windows require navigating through what I call "dependency hell." I think ALSA drivers perform well with Realtek hardware, so I'd consider that approach.

What Linux distribution and kernel version are you running? The forum suggestion mentions needing at least kernel 4.2, while the Debian wiki references older kernels. Are you using Nvidia drivers? On Ubuntu, you can resolve HDMI output issues via the settings GUI.

No built-in graphics processing, using a custom Debian build with GNOME Desktop. Very near the newest Debian version. Kernel 4.6, GNOME 3.20.2. Appreciation will be reviewed. I hope I can navigate through dependency issues and come out the other side.
