Find another method to manage your RGB controller without using the reset switch.
I moved my RGB controller into a new case. This one lacks the reset button I used before. By holding it, I could switch between preset modes and send control to the MOBO header. Currently, the SATA power and RGB header are connected. Do I still need the reset switch for it to function?
Usually you connect RGB or ARGB through the motherboard for management. Rarely do you rely on a button when using a controller, unless your board lacks this feature. Why are you still employing this "controller"? It seems like one that came bundled with a case. You might simply install a temporary switch to maintain the original setup.
I believe the simplest approach is to switch to a different hub that doesn’t need the button (provided you have enough ports). You can then manage it via the motherboard. Alternatively, you could include a button if you prefer maintaining the current hub and features.
