Hello, I remember you had an account but lost the password. For your laptop, I recommend Arch Linux or similar distributions. Your system includes an Intel i-5 520M with 5GB RAM, a built-in GPU, and a 240GB SSD. Regarding PlayOnLinux, it should support apps needing Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer.

Based on my limited knowledge, the outcome varies. It usually works, but there are cases where it fails.

You can enjoy alternatives to Ubuntu such as Pop OS, which is built on Ubuntu but offers extra features. For Arch-like experiences, Manjaro provides strong stability and a smooth rollout process.

Start the system in recovery mode via the installer, isolate the current partition, and execute "passwd username" (replace the username with your own).

Steam performs significantly better than PoL, particularly when using the Proton lib-files included with Steam.

Sounds like you're questioning it. The ISO usually comes on a USB drive for installing most operating systems these days.
